About Sturgeon Bay:Site-Unseen and Imagined is a pop-up art show planned for the week of June 5th-11th. It will be held in the working space at Popelka Glass Studio & Lockwood Gallery inside and out. There may be a daily event to be announced. There will be a potluck reception on Sunday June 5th 4-6pm.
The concept is to spotlight the beauty and unique qualities of what is right under our noses that many people may have not noticed.
The focus is Sturgeon Bay, particularly the growth and changes that the city is experiencing. Each artist will create a piece about Sturgeon Bay, primarily concerning its future, past or present as a link to the vision of how we redefine our city as it transitions to a new paradigm. In keeping with the sense of new possibilities and engagement the artists have been encouraged to work from a found-object, found-image, found-sound or found-concept in order to capture the unknown possibilities.
